V2_ Augmented Reality Ecosystem

V2_Centre for the Unstable Media in Rotterdam on V2_Centre for the Unstable Media in Rotterdam on December 4th invites you to the platform for conversations and opportunities in the Augmented Reality ecosystem. The event brings together the (emerging) ecosystem around AR in the Netherlands and beyond in the following sectors:

• public/governmental • technology • commercial
• education • culture & heritage • artists

Augmented Reality is capable of bringing our online life and layering it into and onto our physical lives. And that is just the beginning of "mixed" reality. Find out how Augmented Reality could work for you. Meet people from different fields and tell them how you are using, developing, integrating AR. Make new contacts, have new insights, strike up new collaborations at this conversation-changing event hosted by the
V2_ Institute which is at the forefront of artistic/technological exploration in the heart of Rotterdam.

The idea is to experience a small number of AR applications, but mainly to have personal interactions and dialogue around how this "new" medium - which is expected to have mass impact on society by 2014 - might develop and how useful collaborations between the sectors might evolve.

To reserve your place RSVP at ar-ecosystem@v2.nl

If you get in touch with us we will send you more information on programming and guests. We will also send you an invitation to a Ning social network we have created around this event which we hope you will connect to and see contents updates and interesting links.

Confirmed and invited special guests currently include prize-winning Dutch Layar, the brand-new Second Life Europe, ARLAB, RFID Lab Den Hague, a Munich based company's prize-winning AR based campaign for IKEA, Marcel Wanders Studio and Wikitude from Salzberg.

The event is free but invite-only. Tell us who we should not miss out on from your network!

We look forward to your response, comments, questions. Below is a list of inspirational links which we will update here and on Ning regularly in the run-up to the event
